The mission of the Reaching Rainbows program is to expose children of all ages to living a life with the awareness of the
5 Human Values and to consciously create a more harmonious world from within themselves. We wish to reveal the heart of every child so they can trust and believe in their voice and achieve their vision.
It is through the HEART and IMAGINATION
where ALL DREAMS and POSSIBILITY BEGIN
Reaching Rainbows is a dedicated program geared toward giving youngsters building blocks of character. Sharing the principles within the values of Love, Peace, Truth, Right Conduct & Non Violence which are the foundation of true humanness. When properly applied & harmonized within the human being the values help resolve conflicts of emotions and foster positive interactions that bring inner & outer peace.
Our experience is grounded in 17 years of teaching in public and private schools, dance & yoga studios, camps, Girls Scouts, plus Boys & Girls Clubs. Also, a year of hands on training and study of EduCare at the Institute of Sathya Sai Education in Thailand. These programs are based on the teaching philosophy of Sathya Sai Baba who says "EduCare gives expression to the human values of Truth, Love, Right conduct, Non Violence & Peace that are latent in man and the aim of EduCare is to help every child grow into a physically, mentally & spiritually healthy adult."
We believe the strength of this program guides each child to gain courage & beliefs from inside themselves to follow their heart.
It provides an environment to safely express & create which fosters trust for themselves. Creative movement is a joyful way for children to explore through music, develop coordination & rhythm, stimulate imagination & promote creativity.
The end of EduCare is character!

"Scientists are now confirming music shapes growing minds. When children sing or play music they become better readers, thinkers & learners."
Elizabeth Lloyd Mayer, Ph.D.
Working Mother Magazine, May 1996
"You know that the beginning is the most important part of any work, especially in the case of a young and tender thing; for that is the time at which the character is being formed and the desired impression is more readily taken...
Shall we just carelessly allow children to hear any casual tales which may be devised by casual persons, and to receive into their minds ideas for the most part the very opposite of those which we should wish them to have when they are grown up?
We cannot...Anything received into the mind at that age is likely to become indelible and unalterable; and therefore it is most important that the tales which the young first hear should be models of virtuos thoughts...
Then will our youth dwell in a land of health, amid fair sights and sounds, and receive the good in everything; the beauty, the efflurnce of fair works, shall flow into the eye and ear, like a health-giving breeze from a purer region, and insensibly draw the soul from the earliest years into likeness and sympathy with the beauty of reason.
There can be no nobler training than that.'
